Garment Care
Saintsofsummer pieces are washed, worn, and finished to age. Cared for right, they fade the way they were designed to — slowly, and in your shape.
Heavyweight fleece — Saints Hoodie
- Machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle
- Wash with similar colors — washed tones can transfer when new
- No bleach, no fabric softener
- Hang dry. Never tumble dry — heat shrinks heavyweight French terry and loosens embellishments
- Do not iron over graphics or rhinestone details
Rhinestone details
- Always turn the garment inside out before washing
- Use a mesh wash bag to protect stones from the drum
- Never tumble dry and never iron directly over stones — adhesive fails with heat
- Losing an occasional stone through heavy wear is normal for embellished garments
Screen-printed graphics
- Wash cold, inside out
- Hang dry away from direct sunlight
- If ironing is unavoidable, iron inside out on low — never touch the print with the iron
Denim — SOS Denim
- Wash as rarely as possible — spot clean first, wash when needed
- Cold water, inside out, gentle cycle, no bleach
- Hang dry by the waistband
- Fading, whiskering, and softening are the point. Washed denim develops character with wear — every pair breaks in differently
Faux-fur slides
- Do not machine wash
- Spot clean the strap with a damp cloth and mild soap
- Brush the faux fur gently with a soft brush once dry
- Air dry away from heat — heat mats and melts faux fur
- Wipe the outsole with a damp cloth
A note on washed garments
Our garments are garment-dyed and washed before they reach you. Tone varies slightly from piece to piece, and every piece continues to fade with wear and washing. That is not a defect — it is the design.
